“I'm so tired of the cold!” Tabitha shouts from the couch, curled up in a ball in a blanket and drinking hot chocolate.

“Relax Tab, it's not that cold out.”

“I hear it's well below freezing in Buffalo today.”

“Contrary to belief, knowing that's it's colder elsewhere doesn't make it warmer here.”

“That's very deep. Maybe you just need another blanket.”

“If you give her more blankets, she may drown!”

“At least Frank's warm.”

“Frank's warm? Wait..where is he?”

“Vegas.”

“VEGAS?! And no one told me? You know how I hate being left in the dark.”

“Sorry, he made us promise not to tell you right away.”

“I shouldn't be surprised. Can I call him and berate him? He's probably still asleep given west coast time.”

“Go for it, he'll probably get a kick out of you being annoyed.”

“Sometimes I think he goes on these trips as much to get a rise out of you as for any other reason.”

“Ugh, so when is he coming back?”

“Dunno. Later?”

“You never ask the important questions.”

“I'm sure he'll be back for the Super Bowl.”

“Well Tabitha, you don't look cold anymore.”

“This really gets the blood boiling huh?”

“If Frank keeps pulling stunts like this we may be able to save on heating.”

Snow Snow Snow

Subject: Finally, some snow

“It's snowing!” Tabitha shouts, bursting into the apartment.

“I noticed. It's really going to kill my tips this afternoon though.”

“This is one of those days where I'm glad I'm not working so I don't have to fight with subway delays and slushie street corners.”

“This is the first real storm we've had with accumulation, I can't believe it's almost March.”

“Probably the last one too.” Frank says, emerging from his room to see what all the commotion is about.

“I checked the weather, It's supposed to be a little warmer this weekend, probably going to melt most of it.”

“That means there will be all sorts of business people leaping over huge puddles of water in intersections come Monday morning. There is nothing funnier than a guy in a suit rushing to work stepping in a puddle and soaking his pant leg halfway up to his knee.”

“You take some real pleasure out of other people's misfortune don't you?”

“Come on! You don't think that's funny?”

“Come on Tab, it's hilarious!”

Tabitha grins. “Okay, okay, it's funny. I actually think it's funnier trying to watch women in high heels keep their balance on snow and ice.”

“Yes!”

“The best part about it snowing in the city is no shoveling! If I were at my parents house I'd be outside pushing a shovel around and helping my dad clean off the cars.”

“It's one of the less known benefits of not having a yard or a driveway.”

“I'm going out for a walk in the snow. Anyone want to come? The city is so pretty covered in white..”

Tabitha, Sara and Scott depart the apartment.

Subject: The Best Month Between August and October

“Well, it’s September again. What do you guys like best about September? I’m just thrilled that I’ve stuck with the blog for six months now.”

“I like how the weather starts getting cooler, and my birthday’s in September.”

“When they change the subway advertisements for the month of September I get to find out what all the new tv shows are.”

“Apple cider. I love apples! Fall starts rolling around and it gets to be time to have a nice hot spiced apple cider.”

“September is crunch time for baseball, It’s a fun month with so much to watch.”

“I don’t know that it’s what I like best, but since I’ve always been a student I associate September with getting back to school and a normal routine. I never know what to do with myself in the summer, at least with school I have goals and deadlines to work with.”
