Subject: Homemade Cookies
“Mmm, something smells good! What are you baking Tabitha?”
“What? I'm not baking, I'm just pouring myself a glass of pomegranate juice.”
“So what's that delicious smell? Is someone baking?”
“Nope. Oven's off. It's my new candle in the living room. It's called Sugar Cookie.”
“You tease! Why would you buy a candle that smells like cookies? Now I want cookies!”
“You could always make them yourself.” Sara pipes in from the living room.
“I could make my famous slightly-charred chocolate chip cookies that leave that weird aftertaste. No one seems to ever like them though.”
“What? Frank's baking? I'll call the fire department.” Scott says as he passes by.
“Last time we couldn't even give away your cookies.”
“They did make good paper-weights though.”
“I'll make a deal with you. You go to the store and buy the ingredients, and I'll bake some cookies.”
“The store? Why don't you call Billy, he gets off work soon right?”
“Because Billy's not the one that wants cookies.”
“Do you really think Billy doesn't want cookies?”
“He does have a point about that. Billy's going to walk in here, smell the candle, and complain about the same think Frank just did.”
“Quiet over there! Who's side are you on anyway?”
“I think Sara wants cookies too!”
“So do I!” Calls Scott from his room.
“The candle really does smell so good!”
“Fine! Call Billy if you want.”
Frank dials Billy, and after a moment, hangs up. “No answer. He must be in a tunnel or something.”
“Well, then I guess you're going to have to actually venture outside today.”
“Alright, but these cookies better be good.” Frank says as he exits.

did you ever hear the dane cook skit where he talked about buying cinnamon roll scented candles just to be an ass and tease his roommates? at least this time your roommates really got a cookies in the end! (they did, right?)
oh man... between this and the last post about rootbeer, now i'm getting really hungry! *glances at the clock anxiously, notes another 2 hours before lunch*
Nope, I'm heard some of Dane Cook, but not that one. Yeah, they got cookies, just not Sugar cookies. I made Chocolate-Chip Snickerdoodles. No one seemed to care that they didn't taste like the room smelled.
i'm pretty sure nobody in this world would complain if they got chocolate-chip cookies, even if they were expecting sugar cookies. :)
Oh man. Now I want cookies. Mmmmmm...cookies. Now I have to go forage for some. ^_^
